This release consists of feature enhancements and hotfixes for bugs and issues reported by our clients over May and June 2024.

Enhancements

• JAMS now supports posting comments during conversion process. This new feature now enables editorial staff and conversion editors to communicate while the conversion of the manuscript is in progress. Having this new communication channel ensures prompt correspondence and reduces the time needed for final manuscript polishing at conversion stage. Conversion Comments

• The Automatic Reminders feature has been updated to support all decisions. Reminder timespan set for Editorial decision will include both pre-check and final decisions.

Setting Reminder Timespan

• A new application feature has been added which allows publishers to select whether they are relying on the JAMS team of conversion editors or their own conversion editors.

Bug Fixes

• An issue which excluded hyperlinks in system emails has now been resolved.

• A bug that has been preventing the display of statistics data has been fixed.

• Clients using English Editing categories are now able to add new ones again.

• System bug allowing special issue editor to access their manuscript has now been fixed and this access is restricted.
