Communication with Conversion Editors

As manuscript conversion is one of the final steps in publication of the paper, it is often needed to have swift communication between editorial staff and conversion editors to ensure the website version of the manuscript is up to standards. JAMS now includes an option of comment posting from both parties involved in the final polishing of the file. The process is explained below.

Once the journal staff sends the manuscript to conversion, a new page section will provide them with the ability to post a comment.

Upon clicking the Post Comment button, a pop-up field will open where the editorial staff can input their comments and submit them.

Once a comment has been submitted from the editorial end, the conversion editors will receive an email notification. So, in case the editorial staff has any remarks, they are able to add additional comments at any moment during the conversion stage.

The same logic applies on the conversion editors end. In case there are remaining issues in the manuscript that need to be confirmed, conversion editors are able to post a comment and the editorial staff will receive an email notification and be able to respond in the same way.
