What’s new

This release consists of feature enhancements and hotfixes for bugs and issues reported by our clients over the first month of 2024.

Upgraded MySQL to version 8 and PHP to version 7.4 to ensure that JAMS keeps using up-to-date versions that are supported by the providers and comply with the latest security standards.
New users who are trying to register now have the option to resend the validation email in case the initial validation email is not found making the account activation process easier.

Option to resend activation email

A bug that prevented editors from overwriting the initial manuscript version in the system has been fixed. Editors are again able to replace the manuscript file in the system by following Update Manuscript option.
Issue which has been causing the invoice files to have incorrect titles has been corrected.
The trigger to publish manuscripts to external websites through FTP has been improved and it is now more reliable.
Bug which caused voucher section, email, code and discount fields to overlap has been fixed.
The has been a temporary inability to assign editors to a manuscript which has now been resolved.
