Email Templates Management

Adding and customizing email templates is an option available to all JAMS clients and provides flexibility in tailoring communications according to the editorial process. Steps for setting and editing email templates are as follows:

  1. Navigate to Email Templates from the Settings Menu in JAMS.

  1. Select a group of emails in which you would like to edit templates by following the icon on the right.

  1. Upon entering Email Group, users can choose whether they wish to add a new template or edit one of the available templates from the drop down menu.

  1. Upon selecting Add New Template option, a page will show where the user will be able to form Title, Subject and input template text.

  1. In case users wish to change already existing template, they should select it via the drop down menu. Once the template is shown, changes can be made by directly typing into the Body field in order to update the text content.

  1. Users are also able to input variables which can retrieve information from the system dynamically (e.g. the author’s name, or the manuscript title).

  1. Upon revising the template, users can save changes by clicking the Update template option. It is also possible to do syntax check (analyse whether there are errors in the coded values) in the template or delete it completely by choosing one of the shown options below the email.
