Introduction to the new Multitenant JAMS

Over the last months, the JAMS Development team has been working hard on our newest system update. The work has been primarily focused on the application code and data migration; with the objective of merging the different versions of JAMS used by our clients into one product that would serve the whole user base across the board.

This new update will make the platform easier to maintain and upgrade for the JAMS team, as well as more flexible and customisable for the clients.

What has changed?

Single-journal clients will now be able to:

  • customise their editorial workflow,

  • manage the journal’s users and editorial team management,

  • access an Application Features menu that can be managed by the Managing Editor.

Multi-journal clients now:

  • have additional features to choose from,

  • and have access to an Application Features menu that can be managed by the Managing Editor.

How will this work?

The features will be managed through the new Application Features menu on JAMS (sneak peek on the new screen in the snip below).
